I've been applying trim moldings around the front and rear doors to the cabin and painting and finishing the topsides.
Next Steps:
I've been contemplating the mast step and have a plan. I'll be installing it if the weather will cooperate. I still need to install the floor in the bow compartment and in the cabin.
Looking very nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It feels great getting near the end.
DeleteYep, looking great. Nearly ready for the first splash. Building a boat is a big achievement.
ReplyDeleteThanks Miles. I referred to your posts often. They were a great help.
DeleteI wish my first boat had looked that good. I was 16 years old, so I've got an excuse. It wouldn't sail very well, but not held water in the back yard for ten years or so. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are putting a floor in the bow compartment? Why is that?
ReplyDeleteThe floor in the bow is just the small area at the bow of the boat. It provides an area to stand on before exiting onto the beach through the opening at the bow, and it creates a storage space beneath it.
